On top of doctors not knowing what to look for and labs without the relevant test bench, test preparation by the patient plays a HUGE part. There must be close proximity to the lab ( but there are virtually no labs) and fresh warm samples on the bench, preferably inside one hour, so that discovery of the organism is far more likely. It is notoriously difficult to locate.

In London a test bench does exist. IC victims with 24-hour pain and frequency, with or without granulation, are found to have a copious presence of this organism and its sub-strains providing their doctors know to ask for the test!!

There is only one ‘sensitive’ antibiotic known to work; though new ones are being tried, they usually fail. But this minute organism is exceptionally hardy and difficult to kill.
